I really never thought we would be discussing about that inclusion of a writers board on the forum, come to think of it what would the discussion actually be about?

The discussion would be centered around literature, where people can share their views about stuffs they have read and the impact it had on them, there would also be analysis, critiques, essays, etc on different subjects. But i must correct for the umpteenth time, it is a channel, not a board.

All these ideas are good but won't impact the development or growth of this ecosystem and what we should focus on or suggest the development team add should be something that boosts the ecosystem growth.

This is far more better for those interested in Writing and reading I believe they should actually engaging in reading. There is no point actually having a group on that matter here.

I am certain that the team won’t implement any action on this suggestion so it’s really shouldn’t be a topic, we have more pressing matter than this.

Let's not be in a haste to draw conclusion, there are possibilities that the team might accept the writers board and may see it as very helpful to the community which it is actually helpful.

Modern literature, like modern art, is too specific. Is there a channel on classical literature here?

I believe having the time to seat down are read books is the major problem or things I believe that drawback people from getting into literature.
People of this century believe much in the internet and those that love to read spend their time on a 9-5 job.

This forum does have not got some needed features and what we can see is a limited channel but I believe it is because the developer team is most focused on the development of the Utopia app client, mobile app, and the Crypton Exchange. In the future the channel you stated may be added.

The developer team makes the decision because those are the most important aspect of this project if the application client (both desktop and mobile) are good and the exchange it will be easy to have more user on the UtopiaP2P project.

Yes, it's somehow difficult but it's easy if you try to lure people in through crypto events because almost all cryptocurrency enthusiasts that come to a blockchain/crypto event are looking for new investment opportunities and knowledge. You can also lure people who are your friend and someone who trusted you and also like cryptocurrency.

There is no channel on classical literature or any other academic field because nobody has had the time and energy to create one, are you interested in classical literature? If so then you could create your own channel and see the number of people that might be interested in joining you in its development, it would indeed be fun to talk about some of the ancient works of Greece and Rome, etc.

Re: channel for writers

A channel on classical literature or an academic field is just one too many for a forum that is cryptocurrency based, I don’t understand why we need such a board here? Seeking to learn cryptocurrency is already a cumbersome discipline on its own.

Having a place on the forum where people cool off after dancing around cryptocurrency is a very good thing. Literature may cut across different topics and diverse cultures. It won't be a bad idea to have one here.

It could fit into an offtopic section where everyone is free to talk about anything and everything not crypto inclined.

Classical literature is too niche and would not get much engagements, but a writing club would, or maybe a general offtopic section for writers, music and movie lovers, etc would be well received.

One of the reason why I think sport should be part of a cryptocurrency related forum is that it is actually promoting cryptocurrency in the sense that it can be used to gamble on matches.

Yeah,  very true. Many gambling sites are now using cryptocurrency which us a very good thing. Because it promised the use of cryptocurrency leading to publicity.  You even withdraw your wins into your cryptocurrency wallet.

That is a whole different conversation from writers having a designated channel but it is still a very relevant discussion in the crypto space.

Gambling powered by cryptocurrencies is becoming very popular with online casinos springing up every day relying on different crypto coins for easy, fast and irreversible transactions. This makes a sport and gambling board integral to the forum.

I have also heard of stories that are a bit similar to such and mostly it’s just a some bunch of delusional comment. I understand that losing huge amounts of money can leave anyone in great denial and that’s the phase they are passing through right now.

That is not surprising at all, there are scammers everywhere, both online and in real life, if someone isn’t smart enough then such people are going to take your money away from you. The best thing to do is to stay away from anything that looks too good to be true, some people are deceived once they see the money involved, but they forget it could be a trap.

The idea of sports being part of cryptocurrency is good since it will promote crypto and we barely have people in sports that like crypto after the issue of FTX happened which also lead to the ban of sports advertisements at the 2023 bowl game.
Nevertheless, a lot of gambling sit have benefits through crypto from lower level to the industry-leading.

I am sorry for the person lost but he also make a mistake by not using a gambling site that's decentralized and provably fair which is still also a concept of confirming the game fairness to seeds.
Meanwhile, something that's against all forms of scammer is what all the gambling we have on Utopia is built upon.

You are right even after when cryptocurrency becomes the mainstream of payment we will still see some people that will be the victim of online scams. Although I am not a newbie in cryptocurrency but I am not a superman either and to avoid the human error that will make a victim of a scammer is the reason why I took the necessary precaution and safety by using UtopiaP2P.
