If a whole lot of Chinese users come to this forum or any other nationality too, and it greatly increases the traffic in the forum, i think the moderators might consider creating a local section for that nationality, and still keep English as the language for the main boards, but if 1 or 2 users from a particular country comes requesting for a local section, i don’t think the admin would listen to them.

You can say that, and i know most people will think in the same way that if they do not stand anything to win or lose in a game, then they rather not play, i am not faulting their logic, just that it does not work for me in that way, i get my excitement from a game when i know i am just playing it to have fun and nothing else, i think everyone should just live and do things in the way they love and enjoy.

Exactly, i would also add to that, exposing your seed phrase even if you use a non custodial wallet would steal mean your funds would be stolen, telling everyone you have crypto is also dangerous because you can be attacked and asked to transfer all your bitcoins to the assailant, it is good to keep a very low profile.

This is the reason why i love to play games without gambling, because to be honest if i am losing my money when i am gambling, there is no way i am having any fun, i would get so upset and would never see any fun side to the game, i know i should gamble responsibly, but any money lost is still money, so sometimes i really do not fancy gambling at all.

The banking system is a big joke these days, people need to understand that any money they have in the bank isn’t theirs anymore, all you are seeing there is just numbers, your money has been used for various investments, that is why they operate on a fractional reserve system. These banks take huge risks with their customers money, and if they make profit it is for them only as you are only given a small interest annually on your savings, but if the risks don’t pay off, it is the customers that lose the most as their money is gone.

Yeah the spammers are reducing on a daily, and the good members are now more present, i think if it continues in this way this forum would attract a lot of members in the next 6-12 months, that is because it is spam that drives a lot of people out of online forum, thus if there is only little spam here, because it is impossible to spam-free, then it is very good for all of us.

It is normal for people to feel this way, especially people who do not understand crypto well, the situation with USDC was a bad one that affected a lot of people’s confidence in stable coins and it will take a lot of time for that confidence to return. UUSD is a very good stable coin, and what we can do now is to tell more people about it, so they can start using it confidently.

I think Conte would be sacked soon, the comments he made againts his team yesterday was very bad, and i don’t think the owners are going to take it, he just put all the blames on the players and the club, forgetting about himself that is the manager who has not managed the team well. He should be sacked now or not be allowed to extend his contract that will expire very soon.

I think you have a very valid point there, from my understanding the UJob is a channel where people post job offers for free and then people willing to take up the offers can then do so, it is very similar with a service board, the difference is just that the UJob is a channel outside the uTalk forum, but the service board would be a section in the uTalk forum, so the both of them can work together.

The second I believe is making use of their Crypton Exchange.

Thank you mate, since i joined this ecosystem i makw use of Crypton exchange, i like the exchange and i have not had any problems using it, and i think for people who haven’t used it, they should give it a try, and i am sure they are going to get hooked into it. I would look into creating a channel, once set up i would post it here on the forum.

Well this is one of the first rule I learn when I started to know about cryptocurrency and there is this saying that not your seed phrase not your wallet. You aren’t in full ownership if you leave your coin on any exchange.

I am glad you knew about it very early, so many people were unlucky, and they only found out about it when they had already lost their funds to a collapsed or hacked exchange. People wrongly think that a crypto exchange works like a bank, but it does not, exchange is for trading and non custodial wallet should be your bank.

Well gambling depends on what sort of gambling, if it’s the game of dice then it need more of luck than less of knowledge but if it’s card games then experience and knowledge has a part to play.

I think you are correct in a way. There are some games that experience plays a huge part in more than others. Video games for example, like playstation, there are some people who are very experienced in it, and if you gamble with such people in that game, they would take all your money, so it is always wise to have a bit of knowledge before gambling, so you would not lose too much money.

As I write this comment, I am currently participating in a poker game with four other players on 2 poker tables. Although it's a good game, one issue we're facing is the difference in time zones. To make it more convenient for everyone, I suggest that we establish a regular schedule to play poker. For example, "Poker Friday" at 12 PM UTC.

If that is the only drawback your guys are facing, then your proposition of a regular time schedule should solve that problem. As long as the group of players can agree on a particular time zone to play the game, then i don’t think there would be any problems again. Keep us updated if the other players were able to come to agreement with you on your suggestion.

Using an open-source password manager to save passwords seems to be risky.  what if the system gets compromised both by hackers or an insider decodes to sell out some pieces of information to another party?

It is open source for a reason, and that is you can verify its code to be sure, even if you do not have the skills to verify codes, there are thousands and possibly millions of people using it, of which many of them are developers and skilled coders, so they will update users if there is any problem with the code. Hackers cannot compromise the system, but if you do not keep your master key password safe, then hackers can break into your own account.

#592 Re: Questions and Help » Question about Ai » 2023-03-18 08:53:15

I think AI is now making people very lazy. So many people now plagiarize using AI and that is very bad and was not the purpose why it was created. AI like ChatGPT were designed to assist people in doing their research, not for them to use it as a copy-paste aid, it is very bad and if the people doing that do not change, then they would struggle to learn. AI is a good thing, but the more people abuse its use, the worse it becomes.

The Fa cup resumes today and City are going to face Burnley in the quarter final today at the Etihad, Vincent Kompany the former City captain and legend is now the Burnley coach and he has been doing so well as Burnley are soon going to be promoted back to the EPL. Kompany returns to the Etihad today to face his old club, it will be an emotional return, and i think his team can win.

UUSD is a good stable coin, but do your research before you use it.

I am sure so many people would want to learn about Russians and what is going on there because they government hardly allows the media to publish news about what exactly is the situation in Russia. But one thing i noticed after working with many Russians over the internet is that they are good people, very much different from their government, Russians are smart and advanced technologically, but the bad things their government does sometimes overshadows people’s judgement of an average Russian.

It is very easy to learn how to be your own bank, that is if the person truly understands the responsibilities in it, because even when you are your own bank you can still lose your money if you do not know how to protect it well. Being your own bank means you must use a non custodial wallet to hold your funds, and whenever you trade on an exchange, you move it asap to your non custodial wallet. One is their own bank if they have keys to their funds.

I don't think it's compulsory to speak only the English language here. The only reason English is dominant here is that the majority of users are using English to communicate with one another.  So, if another language should come up they might create a board for them too.

For that to happen, local boards have to be created, English is the most popular language in the world, that is why it is used for communication in the main boards here, and for now there is no local board, so i think if someone posts a topic or someone replies to a topic with another language other than English, it should be deleted, when there is enough traffic, a few local boards would be created.

Yeah i thought the same thing, just that i like to learn about something well before getting into it, if i am going to gamble with other players, i will not want to lose my money all of the time, lol, so it is better i start learning by reading, before i start practically playing the actual game. Poker isn’t very popular in my country, people born in the U.S, Canada, Germany or Indonesia are exposed to the game very early, all i played when i was young was football, but i will love to enjoy this Poker game with other players.
