I think regulating the channels will reduce spam and also lower the chances of scammers in the forum. Any good thing needs to be monitored and regulated. Without regulations, it will lose its original plan and vision which is not a good sign of growth.
I know regulation is good in terms of keeping law and order, but in a decentralized network like utopia, regulation is going to be difficult to do and it would be going contrary to how utopia wants to operate. Regulation is mostly concerned with centralized services, but decentralized services work without regulation, it is the users in the decentralized ecosystem that have most of the work to do by themselves.

Well regulations can protect everyone when it comes to other things but still regulations has its bad side and that’s limitations. The core values of Utopia is no censorship, no surveillance

I believe there's a way of passing admin right to someone else I am saying this because I have seen some channels on the Utopia application that start with one admin and later increase to 3 admin. I believe this means the first admin has passed the admin right to the new 2 admins and if he's not around the 2 others can do the admin duty.
Hey mate,
I think the author was talking about giving full rights to another person which in a way will alter the purpose of the project if you ask me.

I have seen sales of account out of this from, sales of uNS, sale of coin but never have I seen sales of a channel on this forum or on Utopia p2p ecosystem. I actually don't like how that works.

Some sort of regulation to moderate what is discussed is necessary on a public forum such as these and does not exactly contravene the rules of how Utopia operates.
uTalk as a forum needs to to some extent moderate spam and maybe scam attempts by users as well as some inciteful conversations which could arise, making it acceptable here.

How did the transaction of giving the full right of a channel to another person make a difference to the project? I just want to understand clearly because it doesn't defile any privacy route of the project if you ask me.

What if someone that owns a group account got hacked? How can such problem be fixed and what are the benefits on owning a channel?

I haven't seen the sales of the channel either and this is the reason why the creator of this topic ask the question so that the dev team can integrate a feature that will allow it in the future even if the features are not added it is still possible to sell a channel.

Can a Channel function without an admin? Well for a while yes and it depends on how civilized and matured the membeyof the channels are so I don't see any reason why you should sell your channel.

The fact that members can coordinate activities within the channel does not guarantee that they would be able to do that, so selling admin rights might not be a good option as well, in addition to the fact that it can be used for spam and scam.

I think the discussion on this thread has probably reached its conclusion if you ask me and if it’s possible for op to lock the thread I think it would help reduce spamming

Yes, I believe the topic has reached a conclusion but is there a way to lock a topic on this forum? Because I haven't seen any topic that's locked ever since I have been looking around this forum.

No mate this should not even be an option for anyone, the right to own a channel should not be bought nor even sold if you ask me

Buying and selling of right to own a channel is not advisable, from my own point of view

Yea mate it totally not advisable because it would encourage all sort of unnecessary petty crime in the forum as we don’t know the purpose of who ever is buying such channels.

I believe in a decentralized and privacy ecosystem liberation shouldn't be a problem. The same thing applies to the right of selling or buying channels. People have the right to do what pleases them with their own stuff.

Let's be honest, if anyone shows interest in buying the channel that they did not create then I would like to know what their reason for it. Also how much is it to sell a channel.

But come to think of it guys don’t someone have the right to do what ever they want with their channels also Guys if we are to sell our channel for any reason let sell it to the right person.

You have every right to do whatever the hell you want to do but selling it might not deliver that which you had in mind before creating it. I'm sure no one will be happy if their channel doesn't follow the route they wanted it to.

If people have the right to do anything with their channel or account this technically mean they can also selling it buddy because decentralized project always provide liberation for users.

We don't need to talk about this much. The major reason behind the privacy and decentralization project is to provide the needed privacy, safety, security, freedom of speech, decision, etc.
Nothing hinders anyone from selling his/her channel.

I never said you can not sell your channel. All I was trying to say was that theirs a possibility of the original plan for your channel being changed by the new owner which you might not be happy with yourself

If have a channel on the Utopia p2p application, selling it is never an option since there's a monthly benefit from it, and in the future, the benefit will be enormous than the current benefit.

There should be a limit to what you want to sell the right of ownership to, a channel can act like. Guide to many people and if it's falls to the wrong people then many would be affected by it.

Well if the trend of selling a channel that was created consciously I believe the trend may be hard to stop, people are looking for ways to earn but doing this wrongly should be frowned at.
