What is the best retirement Age?

Last Month the French Constitutional Council approved a controversial plan to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 on Friday, giving President Emmanuel Macron a triumph after three months of widespread protests over the law, which have harmed his administration.

Retirement age for workers varies depending on the country, work sector, profession, and personal preference of workers.

In most countries, retirement age is generally between 60-70 years old. However, many countries are gradually increasing retirement ages due to the aging population and the strains it places on government pension plans.

Some of the factors that determine retirement age in some countries. Some countries have a mandatory retirement age based on social security systems. This means that workers retire and start receiving social security payouts at a certain age.

It's the labor laws in some countries and they may set a minimum or maximum retirement age for certain professions, such as pilots, firefighters, etc.

We have countries where workers may have the freedom to choose when they want to retire, based on their personal preference and financial ability. This could be at the minimum retirement age or even earlier.

Some workers may have no choice but to retire early due to health reasons or disability.

Workers may choose to stay in the workforce for a longer period to save enough money for retirement or to live a more comfortable life in later years.

Meanwhile, there is no one-size-fits-all retirement age since factors that determine retirement age are highly variable in different countries and the individual's preferences and financial status.

Re: What is the best retirement Age?

For me, a median age of between 65-70 is okay for the different occupations.

I also think we should have a unified retirement age and not have politicians retiring at a different age from civil servants in the society. If one is not fit anymore for one job they should not be managing a country.

It will be good also if there's a service range policy to retire, promote and change of post of citizen service.  And also  if possible if there would a fair decentralized sincered way of electing and demoting

Re: What is the best retirement Age?

Well it's best to retire from being employed by someone else at a very early age and then try your best to build your own and never you go retiring from that

Retirement age should be decided by the person and also by physical and emotional stability. If a work that is sounds like unnecessary so now if you have money get an investment.

Everything depends on the rules and regulations of a country or the labor. However, in most countries if there's no health issue involved the worker cannot decision to retire by themselve.

It is important to plan for retirement and consider factors such as income needs, investments, and savings plans when determining an appropriate retirement age.

Yeah because there's nothing good in getting retirement without an appropriate plan and decision of having a better life after retirement.
