Before something like this happen it will be in the next 4 years but the Utopia team always have some campaign on their Twitter page and sometimes some contest are hosted on the Utopia app client those are the best alternative for now.

Honestly I would like to see something like this maybe it won't be world cup anymore because the world cup is in the next four year, but maybe in league competition.

You miss the competition because you don't pay more attention to every campaign hosted by the Utopia p2p ecosystem because this competition has a personal channel on the Utopia app client.
There's always a new campaign on this project.

Well you must know some of us missed the event because probably at that time we were busy, if I can speak for myself that was my case, I missed out because I had so much engagement at that time regardless I would pay more attention to the forum from hence forth

Before we organize something like this is either the forum admins but be part of this or there would be a sponsor for this sort of thing. It's not about you being ready it's about it being well organized.

I believe the fact that the world cup happens every four years is the reason why we would only see this kind of contests in such tournament, because they actually happen less frequently, league tournaments go on throughout every year, except for a few months break, i don’t think the admin would approve this. What they could do is initiate another contest in a different activity than football.

I guess i am late to the ‘party’, utopia is really a generous project to organize this kind of contest, congratulations to the winners by the way. These sort of contest or games can attract people to the ecosystem and i hope they have some more lined up in the future. If there is ever any other constest i am surely going to be involved, i love the fun in games like these.

I guess that’s how the game goes, the moderator who announced the contest never said it was about how early one made a prediction, and there was a method of using the block time to make sure nobody felt cheated. Well all that is in the past now, and we can look forward for more contests like this in the future. I think the Champions League is big enough for this kind of contest.

This will be a nice idea and if hosted on this forum at least it will increase this forum traffic and more user will come to this forum for the league prediction participation reward.

The next world cup is in 2026 and that is a very long time from now, nobody knows if the owners of the forum would consider holding the contest in the next four years, maybe or maybe not. As for other footballing tournaments, maybe they could consider a contest on them, but without any update from the admin, we can say there is nothing of such forthcoming. For now we can just enjoy discussing on uTalk forum, and if there is any contest, the admin will post about it.

I believe it was a typo and you meant *2022 when the world cup was hosted.

About us seeing another event soon, hopefully there would be a similar one for the EURO tournament coming up next year in Germany, and there is also the Copa America which would be hosted by the United States. So many tournaments to spin up a prediction game off.

You would be correct if the admin of uTalk wants this contest to be only for world cup tournaments, if that is the case, 2026 it is then, but if they decide to run contests like this when there is a major footballing event, then we might not have to wait until it is 2026 because there are major tournaments before them. They could even extend it to club competitions, where we have the champions league and club world cup tournaments.

Extending it to club competitions would be an amazing idea and would attract lots of sport enthusiasts. It would also be more frequent as club competitions are almost always in play at any point in time, making them an attractive option.

I would love to bet on my favorite team and discuss the odds of them winning with like-minded users.

Yes, there's a typo in the message and thank you for putting that out.
It will be nice if a competition like the Qatar World cup is host the Euro tournament and Champions league.

You have a valid point and i just make the above statement base on observation, but the Utopia team are always full of surprises they may come up with something any moment.

Without any official statement from an utopia admin, we can only speculate.

That is another perspective to look at it from. Having a tournament that comes up infrequently gives one something to look forward to and anticipate while maintaining interest of the participants. There can also be the issue of constantly funding such tournaments regularly.

You are right that we can only speculate for now and wait for the decision from the Utopia team.

You guys all have a point about what you stated but I think having a football alone campaign or prediction competition on this forum could look biased from the understanding of some people since we have a lot of sports and people who are fans of Basketball, baseball, etc may feel cheated on.
