joanna;47866 wrote:full;47865 wrote:How long does it take to set up a store on Utopia Market after the client update?
From my test run about 90 seconds. Open Utopia - Market tab - Create Store - pick a name/handle - add description/banner - done. No email/phone verification, pure wallet-based.
Took me closer to 3 minutes because I was uploading a nice logo and writing a longer bio. Still way faster than any centralized marketplace onboarding.
Can I list physical goods or is it strictly digital only?

Strictly digital. The announcement and client UI both say digital goods and services. Physical items (even shipped anonymously) aren't supported yet probably to keep everything instant and escrow-safe.

Digital focus makes sense for anonymity and speed. But some sellers are already offering digital delivery of physical access like VPN account logins or cloud storage shares that's allowed.

What happens if the buyer and seller disagree on delivery? How does the guarantor actually work?

If you used the optional guarantor service, the guarantor holds CRP until both mark delivered or one opens a dispute. Then the guarantor reviews proof (screenshots, hashes, chat logs) and decides usually within 24–48h. Neutral third-party Utopia users with high rep.

Built-in guarantor is automatic for most trades and very basic (auto-release after timeout or mutual confirmation). Paid guarantor is stronger they actually mediate. I've seen disputes resolved fairly so far.

Yes, basic search bar auto-generated categories (Domains, Hosting, Advertising, Content, and Media, Services, Tokens and NFTs, Other). It's still early so sorting is mostly by newest / price / popularity. Devs said filters are coming soon.

Search works surprisingly well even now. I searched VPN and got configs, guides, and proxy lists in seconds. Categories help a lot for browsing.

How are seller fees structured on Utopia Market?
Zero platform listing/selling fees right now (big selling point). Only pay if you opt for paid guarantor (small % of trade value) or if you use external payment processing (none yet). CRP network fee is tiny (~0.0001 CRP).

Confirmed no 5–15% cut like OpenSea or centralized shops. Long-term they might add optional premium visibility features, but launch is fee-free for core trading.

No, all trades settle in CRP and UUSD only. Keeps everything inside the ecosystem, fast, and private. You can top up CRP via crp.is with BTC/ETH/USDT/USDC though, so it's easy to convert.

Some power users are doing off-platform side deals in other coins, but official Market listings & escrow only support CRP. Forces liquidity into CRP which is good for the token.

Early yes short/premium .u names are moving fast (especially 3–4 letter ones). I saw a few go for 300–1200 CRP in the first hours. People treating them like early .com domains.

Not explosive yet, but steady. Sellers offering bundles (domain + 6 months hosting) seem to convert better than standalone domains.

Much more private. No IP address ever exposed (Utopia routing), no central index server logging views, no blockchain trail since it's not on-chain. Only counterparties see your store ID.

OpenBazaar still leaked some metadata via IPFS nodes. Utopia Market is fully inside the encrypted P2P overlay no external observers can even see you browsed a store.

Yes, simple star rating with number of completed trades shown on every store profile. Positive reviews add green checkmarks. New accounts start at 0 until first trades finish.

Reputation is per-wallet (not per username), so it sticks even if you change display name. Helps weed out scammers quickly.
