56g5DH7.png
On 6 February 2023, an earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and western Syria. It occurred 34 km (21 mi) west of the city of Gaziantep at 04:17 TRT (01:17 UTC), causing widespread damage and thousands of fatalities in the region. Re: Turkey and Syria Earthquake

The things happening in Turkey and Syria are heartbreaking. They do require our prayers and financial assistance, particularly Turkey where there are more than 100 users in their local channel on the Utopia client, I check there today and they are not up to 50 users there due to the earthquake disaster.

Re: Turkey and Syria Earthquake

A massive earthquake hit Turkey as you heard and a reliable organization in Turkey (AHBAP) managed to open a crypto account. Donating with cryptos is banned in Turkey, they let it happen for just 1 week. If you are thinking about how to help from other countries.

Re: Turkey and Syria Earthquake

It is a heartwrenching event for the citizens of Turkey and Syria. In the meantime, 8574 people were said to have disappeared in Turkey, and over 2500 people were said to have disappeared in Syria. I hope they can reach the people trapped beneath the rubble as quickly as possible.

The number of people that died through the earthquake has increased to at least 40,000 but I read that the soldier is hearing some people's voices under the rubble and I hope the needed to get arrive before they suffocate.

Thanks to outside help, there were fewer victims than there could have been.

It is indeed a terrible natural disaster cause it was said to be the worst earthquake to be recorded in Turkey and the sad aspect is the people that lost their life. I watch a video of a man that protects his kids by using his body and i know he's happy on the other side that his sons make it out alive.

I pray that issue like this won't happen to the people in Turkey and Syria. Out of curiosity, what do you guys think will happen to the crypto investors that there which escape the accident?

The Turkeish and Syrian dwellers are still suffering the aftermath of the earth quake. It's no news that lots of live was lost but I am glad that many people are joining in to send relief iteams to these countries and even financial assistance.

Yes, it's something that's hard to get over it and I can see that some cryptocurrency-related are sending funds in crypto and providing the earthquake victim some relief funds. I hope thing like this will never happen again in the countries.

Yes, it's something that occurs naturally but there should be a solution to it and how to protect people's life and property. Meanwhile, it has been a while since this type of natural disaster happened to Turkey.
