The miners exist only to provide the Utopia network necessary to function. The reward a miner gets is only a way to say "thank you" for providing bandwidth.
This is very important. Miners should not mine only for profit. They need to understand that they are a mandatory part of Utopia. Maybe the reward should only be given for the ones that sustain for a long time the process, and with moderate number of miners per PK key.
In a chat on #Utopia-MiningSupport channel some users complain about fraudulent use of temporary miners to flood the net and blocking minor miners of getting their reward. Maybe it's time to impose more strict regulations on CRP mining, as proposed by some users.
"The result is that all trustable miners will stop mining while the entire network will be driven by scammers", says one user.
One proposal is to block rewards for well-known PK keys.
[later edit] I just find out that no one can block a PK key from getting mining rewards.
I would propose to limit the number of miners per PK key (although this would not really solve the problem).
What is your opinion on this? Do you have some ideas to solve this problem?
Offline advertising is very important. Maybe some users with graphic skills could make mini-posters so anyone could print and stick them on walls...
Anonimity is paramount in a corrupt society where corruption is advertised as lobby. There is no government in the world who escaped this plague.
Today the Romanian Police made public it's decision to buy cripto-mining detection software in order to discover suspicious activities on the net. Is Utopia "detection-resistant" to such software?
Sa verifice legaturile dintre tranzactiile cu criptomonede;
Sa urmareasca si sa verifice fluxurile monetare in cadrul blockchain-urilor;
Sa poata identifica orice detinator de portofel electonic pe baza adresei tranzactiei cu criptomonede;
Sa scaneze automat mai mult de 1.000 forumuri, aplicatii media si site-uri darknet;
Interfata intuitiva prin care utilizatorii pot viziualiza si crea rapoarte intuitive cu fluxurile de criptomonede;
Sa poata accesa informatiile contextuale open source (OSINT) de pe diverse site-uri web;
Aici vorbim in româna, pe teme despre ecosistemul Utopia P2P.

And why don't you create this channel and run content on it?</p>
Well, I live in Bucharest, and since there is already a channel for Bucharest, I will use it. For other cities, I let the new users in Romania to create the channels for their town.
Maybe a quick poll would be useful? How about, on a scale from "not important", to "crucial", asking users some questions about:
1) anonimity
2) security
3) protection
<div class="quotebox"><cite>aurelian;1521 wrote:</cite><blockquote><div><p>Maybe if there is a leaderboard for Go game, and there should be a monthly (and, possibly, yearly) prize (CRP) for the top 3 leaders, I think this should attract more users.</p></div></blockquote></div><p>No. This is too outdated, it would be better to provide such an opportunity for users to saw their game and can, with the support of developers to arrange such competitions, but there may be technical problems, but I think it would give more value to call itself an ecosystem.</p>
Yes, it may be really outdated, but nevertheless, it's catchy (at least for some users).

While waiting for the new interface, let's motivate users to join Utopia P2P ecosystem by daily donating some CRP via uVoucher channel (or, right here, in uTalk). I did it, feel so good!
Grab this uVoucher NOW!
I am donating this to the first user who grabs it.

This is a way to say "Thank You" to the 1984 group for creating Utopia P2P ecosystem.
While it shares characteristics with Tor, it is more than just that because it has a buil-in cryptocurrency CRP, for use inside the P2P ecosystem, but also can be used outside. Providing API for developers to create more ways of integrating in Utopia ecosystem, it can become the "de facto" standard for fair use and anonimity.
<p>The forum looks outdated, by the way. At least for countries with a developed Internet. Trends</p>
Yes, the interface may not be so "flashy", but I congratulate it's creators for doing a good job: top usability in a very short development time. The interface is not so important. I can use this forum on any external browser, also on Idyll internal Utopia browser.
<p>Hi,</p><p>a good privacy ecosystem cannot read messages exchanged between two people, even when they are criminals. Also cannot de anonymize users. As a result, criminals can stay hidden and can exchange whatever they want.</p><p>Protecting good people also means protecting bad people  <img src="https://talk.u.is/img/smilies/neutral.png" width="15" height="15" alt="neutral" /> </p><p>But Utopia world can be different from ONION. The so called <span class="bbu">self regulating society</span> can discourage "public" presence of wrong material. For example by acting on uNS.</p>
Yes, Utopia should go with self regulation, it is by far the most effective approach. We are the community, and we should take care of ourselves. My personal opinion: Utopia P2P it is too important to afford being used for illegal activities.
<p>We might think about Go. The implementation should not be difficult. The only question is how to attract users to play</p>
Maybe if there is a leaderboard for Go game, and there should be a monthly (and, possibly, yearly) prize (CRP) for the top 3 leaders, I think this should attract more users.
The ultra-secure "mail for paranoids" ProtonMail began to hand over its users to the security forces. They are arrested.
Will we allow ourselves to gloat?
Utopia P2P ecosystem is doing it's part to secure the framework. However, any user must take his/her own steps to complement those and making unauthorized access virtual impossible. Choose a STRONG password (should be very long, with some CAPS and digits and some special characters).
<p>I have asked this question on the Utopia app channel but the answer I get is not helpful and I will be happy if there's someone who will explain the step by step guide of how to mine CRP using Window10 computer (that's if it is possible to mine the coin using Windows) for someone like me who's not tech-savvy when it comes to mining.</p><p>Thanks</p>
Since Utopia Mining Bots are only for Linux, you can use Virtual Machine (from VMWare - use Player, or from Oracle - use VirtualBox): install any vm client in your Windows PC, start the vm client and install in it a linux distribution of your choice. At this point you should have a Linux VM up and running. Use the official link at Utopia to install the Linux Mining Bot inside Linux VM.
Although there already is a channel for Bucharest/Romania, I am looking forward to see more channels for every city in the country.
@money_ranger:
Thank you for this reply, I am also interested on the topic. It would be very useful if the team at Utopia P2P would consider making a mining bot for Windows, and skipping the need for VM.
Utopia P2P ecosystem is rich in features and has a longstanding history. While there are users in many countries using it, I wonder how can it achieve mass adoption in Romania? The network speed in Romania is very high thanks to the infrastructure, and cryptocurrencies are a common subject in daily talks. Utopia P2P is already available in Romanian language, so this is a BIG advantage. What can be done to raise the awareness in Romania about this top ecosystem?
