Such platforms should be shutdown. I have actually imagined cryptocurrency having such a body where they regulate and dictate misleading projects and shut them down.
That is an extreme measure if you ask me. It is a bad practice to be covert about if your source code is open source or not and I would advice people to look for open source alternatives to it, but that does not call for a shutdown.
A regulatory body for a decentralized industry contradicts why the industry exists at all. Regulations are not a solution to problems but a way for governments to gain control.
I personally will say that is expecting too much from one person. Giving such an amount to someone to hold is not a really good idea. I think it's best the developers do it themselves.
You are right. it is unwise to trust one person with that amount if anything comes out of this discussion. A 2 of 3 or 3 of 5 multi signature wallet would be a good option, wit that no one user can make away with the funds alone, they would need at least one other signatory to the address.
It is also a good idea if the team would serve as escrow for such an event.
If some users are judging the Utopia project base on its name I guess they are mistaken because we all know that nothing is perfect in this world and the name Utopia was given to the project since it was created to correct and fix some drawbacks in the market.
You would not blame anyone much for such thoughts. Branding makes up a bulk of marketing and creating a brand around an idea would make people associate that idea to your project.
You now have to keep as close as possible to that idea, bearing in mind that perfection does not exist.
Not only that mate if we organize it ourselves then the transparency of the competition can’t be assured, also I don’t think it would go down well with the team that we are organizing such programs ourselves.
About transparency, if there is any reputable member willing to act as an escrow it can make the process safer and transparent, I am not sure there is such a person other users can trust their funds with.
I personally do not think the team would mind at all. It brings publicity to the forum and sparks off a new trend of discussion. A win win if you ask me.
Writers I have a suggestion, I am not in support of a writers board here because it’s far off the topic meant to be discussed here but if the reading and writing is crypto related then it’s ok.
I do not think writers would really mind where such channel is created as long as it is up and active. The bulk of discussion might be fictional writing and trading good books back and forth, those are off topic discussions.
Crypto related writing would fit into other sections here.
Don't get the user wrong. He may not have a deep understanding of the CryptonBet channel but I think such complain he made will make the owner do some important upgrades and I am sure the owner of the channel will think of creating a website with the name CryptonBet since he has bought a uNS for it.
Creating and running a betting website is a commitment that anyone getting into has to be fully ready for. Creating a channel and purchasing a uNS are just scratching the surface of what it entails.
I would advice anyone considering that to consider all loose ends and tighten them before making such commitments.
The biggest issue for kylian Mbappe is not joining real Madrid is would PSG let him go, right now his release clause are very high and may not be easily attainable by real Madrid.
PSG would definitely not let him go. The entire French football association seems to be built around him with the entire league and even the government keen on keeping him at the French capital.
He tried to force a move last summer but bowed to the pressure and signed a new contract which would keep him for two more years from today with the option to add another two years at the end.
Would he wait that long or would PSG get a ridiculous offer before then?
does it make sense to invest large sums in crp?
It makes sense to invest as much as you can afford to lose at any point in time. Capital can only be too high relative to income or savings, someone who is worth $1,000,000 can invest 5-10% of that which is $50,000 - $100,000 and it is a conservative amount.
For someone else, it is a very large amount and they would not be able to afford it.
I have seen major mistakes made in Cryptocurrency done by professionals, newbies are now getting good hands on what cryptocurrency is all about. But there are still some who has refused not to grow.
This is true. There are newbies who are learning about new technologies the right way and making smart choices, and there are those who have been there for years and still maintain the same ideology they always had.
There are also the experienced members who get complacent and refuse to learn more after a while in the believe that they have acquired a lot of knowledge already.
Always keep learning and growing.
What we can do as a community to support the Crypton coin is to first have strong enthusiasm for the coin. Do some sort of local advertisement that may be wearing merch that has information about CRP coin just like how some BTC enthusiasts advertise BTC in front of SVB when the bank has a crisis.
This is an amazing idea. Community participation is pivotal to the growth of any project and we as a community have to do our part in improving the popularity of the project. Wearing merches, organizing webinars, talking about utopia in other groups and forums we are on to get other people taking about this project.
Yes I also thought as much I was thinking of hosting a lecture in my school community about the decentralized values of Cryptocurrency making great references to Utopia p2p.
This would be a great idea.
In as much as I am a cryptocurrency enthusiast I would not like to have the bank system in crises I also actually both entity can exist and even have a correlation.
It is less a matter of what one wants and more about what is attainable. The banking system is operated very poorly and has been for many years now. This is believed somewhat to be part of the reason that cryptocurrencies were created in the first place.
Both the cryptocurrency and the banking system can co-exist and should to achieve actual balance, hopefully the banking system changes its mode of operation and stop sinking the economy into inflation.
Well no one has ever taught about this but I feel we should have a board that's dedicated to newbies, here they can ask newbie question and get experienced answers.
I think the forum is already very newbie friendly and they can pick up advice literally on every thread they visit. Having a dedicated board is not a bad idea per se, but not a pressing one in my opinion.
I can freely ask any question I have in the most appropriate board and I would get my answer.
Yes mate that’s true I have also experienced some scam attacks by using telegram and that app scares me but honestly speaking every one enthusiastic about cryptocurrency should probably be on telegram.
You are right that it is pretty popular in the cryptocurrency world, but it is not a necessity. I know crypto users who do not have an account there and are always pressuring me to ditch the app cause I could do without it.
I have a couple of groups which are valuable to me and keep me registered on the platform.
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has just blasted his team for playing poorly against Real Madrid and he claims that his team has not yet matured enough and I would say that to be true.
The team are a consequence of the coach and any fault in the team is the duty of the coach to fix. Xavi and the players have had a decent season. The failures in the champions league and now in the cup shows that there is lots of room for improvement, but the team is on the right part.
In other sport news I think Newcastle aren't getting enough of the respect they deserve, they have really been fantastic this season and they have really spent in the market as we expect them to soon do.
I really hope to see them in the UCL next season. They have been brilliant this season.
Oh, thanks, mate. In that case, the other party is in serious trouble. Like, are you saying for instance if I sent 1btc to someone using a very low fee and then later resend it using a higher fee to another account which is mine is called RBF?
It is called double spending not RBF.
RBF stands for Replace By Fee and it is the option that allows you to be able to double spend. When making a transaction you can enable RBF which can be used to bump the fee later if the transaction takes too long to be confirmed or can be used to resend the transaction to a different address, possibly over riding the initial transaction.
What I am trying to say is that some projects may claim to be open source and at the end of the day you realized that they are hiding something which makes it a scam.
If a project is fully open source, then every code used is verifiable, they would only be able to hide something if you do not know how to check or what to do on their github. With closed source you can not verify anything cause it is all hidden.
There is a slight risk of a dev slipping a backdoor in with an ope source project, but that is a very slim possibility.
With all due respect mate, love doesn't exist on the internet. It is all fake and sympathy flying around. Also looking for a way to extort you if you fall victim to their evil plans as I like to call it.
For majority of cases, this is the situation, meaning you would be safer to assume it all to be a scam rouse from the onset.
The Op was trying to point this out; we should stay vigilant when on the web and never lower our guard cause scammers are always changing their strategies.
That's good to hear that there's actually a campaign against artificial intelligence programs. This will really help people retain their jobs and also give humanity hope.
This is an ethical dilemma, and I am on the side of technology. The possibilities with AI is astronomical and can herald a new civilization with newer, faster, safer ways of doing things.
It would revolutionize health care and procedures which were though impossible would be done with a high chance of success. It would change the building and industry niche and humans would advance in leaps and bounds.
I would take this over the alternative.
Russians might have a good hand on blockchains but that doesn't mean they gave the ability to control a whole ceyoricurrency project alone. It should be a collective effort from different regions and countries.
No where did I suggest that they do not collaborate with people from other regions. I was only pointing out how they have such a strong and talented community in the crypto space.
Collaborations and team work is of course needed for the success of any project.
Well I believe we can share our telegram account here and for those interested in the English and article board they can create their own group probably on telegram.
Not everyone here uses telegram due to the high prevalence of scam on the platform, and it does not have the feel or functioning of uTalk.
If I am to join a writer's group I would really prefer it to be here on the forum.
If I get the time and resources which would make such a channel a success, I will consider creating one myself.
using any exchange at all is bad since they (exchange) can cancel on me while I'm still transacting. But this brings me to the next question, do they take my funds as well when they canceled on me?
Not any exchange. Decentralized P2P exchanges do not hold your funds and have no interest to slow down the trade. Centralized exchanges on the other hand have all the control during the trade; they hold the funds and have terms of service that allows them to seize that fund for any reason they consider worth it.
It was a bad day at the job for FC Barcelona. They did not play horribly and did create some chances, but Real Madrid created more chances and were more clinical in front of goal. They now have just the Laliga to look forward to and Madrid have one hand on the Spanish cup and still have a say in the UEFA champions league.
Newcastle were also brilliant last night, strengthening their UCL position with a very healthy goal difference over their closest opponent.
I don't think Barcelona will win this tonight. I think Real Madrid will win them. Barcelona doesn't have what it takes to be called champions. They are just passersby in this league.
Barcelona are one of the two most successful Spanish teams and one of the best teams in world of football. It is ironic to say they do not have what it takes to be champions. In fact, Barcelona has 31 Copa del ray titles, while Real Madrid has only 19.
Who is following the matches of Manchester United (against Brentford) and that of Newcastle (against West Ham)? Those are tough fixtures and currently it is going as expected with Man Utd and Newcastle leading, but I would not count out their opposition.
Many Newbies fail to actually learn more about cryptocurrency before they invest in it, they just jump in and many makes lots of mistakes that would even cost them their funds.
That is a common newbie mistake that someone would make if they lack proper guidance when getting into crypto and see it as a get rich quick scheme.
One just needs to understand the basics before jumping into crypto or they learn from their mistakes when they get burned and lose their capital.
Hey guys how is the talks about the special board going? This is one of the suggestion that I think the team should actually look into and try to implement it immediately.
The team is surely looking into all our suggestions and would chose to act on which one they consider to be a fit at the time.
We cannot pressure them to take an action that they are not ready for at the time even though we the forum members think it to be a good idea.
